The Self-Management
for
Actors weekly seminar is by far the most
informative
and supportive actor environment I've ever worked
with. I have grown so
much while being a member of the group and have
learned more than I've
thought possible from Bonnie and my
classmates--most importantly, how
to target and market myself to the shows I'm right
for. It's a huge
leg up in my
career and I'm forever grateful for it! Thanks,
Bonnie!

Right
out of the gate, I was objectively assessed for my
primary type (this
may not sound like a good thing, but it is). A
group of
people--strangers--judged a book by its cover and
a pattern emerged.
Pattern in mind, I focused on breakdowns that fit
my newly-discovered
type. It's garnered me more attention than
previous submission
attempts. In fact, I recently booked a role that I
would have
heretofore not submitted on, because of the
feedback from the SMFA seminar
participants. Regardless of what level you're at
in your acting career,
there's something to be gained from the SMFA
seminars. In
fact, if you think you've reached a plateau or hit
a wall, you should
definitely sign up. Helping people tier jump is
one of Bonnie's
specialties. Oh, and those strangers? The Class
Rules!-ers? I now call
them friends and colleagues: a community whose
mere existence helps
keep me motivated when sometimes it'd be easier to
just call it a day
and get a "normal" job. They're a network whose
collective mind can be
tapped for a wealth of information (and who also
occasionally get
together for karaoke). I can't thank Bonnie and
the SMFA
seminar
enough.

A line
is
the shortest distance between two points. Bonnie
Gillespie is my line.
With Bonnie's help, I have been able to achieve so
many goals in one
year (too many to mention here) that could have
easily taken me much
longer to achieve. If you are serious about your
acting career, then
you need the tools to be self-sufficient and
manage your acting career
yourself. Bonnie's Self-Management
for
Actors seminar should be your first stop.

The SMFA Seminar
is a
must for any actor--new or veteran to the
business. The wealth of
knowledge is delivered in a straightforward, no BS
way
that is easy to understand, exponentially mind
expanding, and even
easier to apply. It starts to make more sense than
shoes! Tools--once
set in place--will be with you your entire career
that you can adjust
along the way, because you will know how! Bonnie
is what I like to call
an industry angel. Her determination and
relentless efforts to align
actors with their type and true self are tireless.
Her ability to bring
out the best is uncanny and beyond inspirational.
A true gem in the
business!
Not only do you get a firm understanding of who
you are as an actor and
how to sell it, you ultimately develop a better
sense of self. The
merging of the two creates a strong, powerful,
pure, confident actor
and a solid foundation on which to build your
business and
relationships. I've learned how to market myself
by targeting what's
right for me, sell myself by developing a pitch
that encompasses the
essence of my type as I am now, and how to think
like a producer.
Whether you're building a business from the ground
up or just
renovating, the SMFA
Seminar
is a must! -- Jason

| Bonnie
Gillespie is one of the most supportive friends of
actors in this
world. I
have learned so much more from her than I ever
thought was possible,
and I continue to learn from her. Every. Day.
Bonnie openly and
honestly shares with actors on how we can be
better actors and take
control of our careers. She is an inspiration in
how we can be better
in all aspects of our lives and careers. Without
Bonnie, her book, and
her guidance, my life and career would be less.
I'm convinced of that.
I have been so lucky to have those in my life who
have lifted me and
pushed me to be at my best. Among my others, she
is one of "mi los
angeles," my angel. -- Sarah Logan |
| I
haven't felt this empowered to go out and achieve
in a while, and I
just want to say thank you for enabling that to
happen. With your
guidance and coaching, I am coming out of Class
Rules! with so much
information it's almost overwhelming! Thank
you so much for
everything and for inspiring us to push further
ahead. Thank you for
creating a supportive environment for others and
sharing your wealth of
information. It is not often for one to come
across these
environments--especially in this city--so thank
you for shedding light
on unknown subjects and being there to support us
through it all. It
has been a priceless experience for me and this is
something I will
definitely benefit by as I take this information
and do something with
it. -- Nikki

| As
an actor, if
you want to put your career on a better track you
can either spend time
with Bonnie Gillespie or sleep with someone you
don't want to. Take it

Bonnie's
Class
Rules straightened me out. I learned the value of
getting really
clear about who I am so I could market myself
easily. I was fighting
who I am until I realized I could do that forever
and never move
forward. Before I took Bonnie Gillespie's Self-Management for
Actors seminar
I was frozen from fear and too many choices. Now I
think about what the
most logical next step is based on what I've
learned in class and from
fellow students' success stories, and then I take
it. So inspiring! -- Lucy

Bonnie
Gillespie is an amazing person in this business
and anyone who has the
opportunity to work with or be taught by her
should do it and would be
better for it. I graduated just a year and a half
ago from an awesome
conservatory, and knew about the craft of acting
and nothing about the
business. After reading Self-Management
for
Actors,
I became so much more confident and knowledgeable
about this crazy but
awesome journey I'm on. And after having the
privilege of the Self-Management for Actors
weekly seminar, I've literally been transformed
into an amazing
professional
actor, after just a year and half on this journey!
Almost every
opportunity I've been fortunate enough to have, I
can trace right back
to the awesomeness of this
seminar. I've defined my primary and secondary
casting types and clear
targeting. Most importantly, I have so much more
confidence that is
present with me in auditions and every meeting. I
can pitch myself in
those meetings with clarity, knowing exactly what
I bring to the table.
I love Self-Management
for
Actors and Bonnie Gillespie! -- Regina

Bonnie
doesn't sugarcoat, which is great. My favorite
part of the Self-Management
for Actors
weekly seminar
is targeting shows off IMDb and Pitch Clinic where
you learn to work
the room and say in one minute what others say in
ten. Actors love to
talk and often need to be wrangled in. This
seminar teaches you to be
more self aware of who you are and not who you
want to be so you can
play to your strengths. You don't wanna bring a
knife to a gun fight. I
don't even know what that means. -- Beau
